DANGJIN
2026 MARATHON

Dangjin Golden Field Marathon

Half · 10 km · 5 km — through the golden autumn fields of Dangjin

Korean site > Home

The course runs from Sapgyoho, where the Sapgyo river meets the Yellow Sea, out through rice fields that are at their most golden in the second week of October. It is flat, open and fast — and the same road is used by the 5 km walkers, so the field stays together longer than at most races.

Three distances are offered, all with the same entry fee. Runners of primary-school age and above may enter, and the 5 km may be walked.

Prizes and rewards

The organiser puts up KRW 20,000,000 in total. Thirty places are paid, from KRW 1,000,000 for a win down to KRW 100,000 for fifth — and that same total also covers the lucky draw for entrants holding certain entry numbers and the Dangjin gift voucher every finisher receives. It is not KRW 20,000,000 in prize money alone.

Athletes registered with the Korea Association of Athletics Federations are not eligible for placings. If fewer than 1,000 runners enter, the organiser may adjust the prize money.

Entering from outside Korea

There is no separate English entry system. The online form and the bank transfer are handled in Korean, and the organiser answers the phone in Korean. If you are entering from abroad, the simplest route is to email the organiser first and ask them to hold a place for you.
